IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi expressed concern about the incident. In his opinion, neither nuclear power plants nor the areas adjacent to them should be attacked. The head of the organization called for ensuring nuclear safety in order to avoid triggering a man-made disaster.

On April 4, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) announced a strike by the United States and Israel on the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. One of the shells fell near the facility's fence. The shock wave with shrapnel damaged an auxiliary building of the station. A security guard died.

According to the AEOI, the main equipment of the nuclear power plant was not damaged. This is the fourth attack on a nuclear facility, the organization emphasized.

On April 1, Rosatom head Alexei Likhachev announced that the evacuation of more than 200 employees and their family members was planned. This decision was made due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East.
