Fresh photos of the "Gerbera" unmanned aerial vehicle, which has an unusual design, have appeared online. The drone is equipped with a voluminous element between the wings, which some have called a "hump".
According to the Telegram channel "Oboronka", this modification has an additional fuel tank to increase the time spent in the air.
The initial range of the "Gerbera" is up to 300 km, but now, apparently, it has become even greater.
The plywood drone has also begun to be used as a drone carrier. After the UAV is dropped, the "Gerbera" acts as a flying repeater, providing the transmission of a command and telemetry channel and a video link.
The drone's body is made of plywood and foam. A special coating makes the "Gerbera" invisible to anti-aircraft missile system radars.
