Kitten stuck at the "Akkuyu" NPP construction site in Turkey: it was rescued from a depth of seven meters

Workers heard meowing and immediately stopped pouring concrete

At the construction site of the "Akkuyu" nuclear power plant in Turkey, work was proceeding as usual until workers heard a plaintive meow. It turned out that a kitten was stuck at a depth of about seven meters. To save it, the pouring of concrete was immediately stopped.

The builders organized a rescue operation. Despite the difficult conditions, the kitten was carefully brought to the surface.

The kitten was washed with water. The animal was not injured and is now safe.

It is not specified how the animal got to such a height and how it ended up in the concrete.

Akkuyu NPP is the first nuclear power plant in the Republic of Turkey and one of the largest nuclear construction projects in the world today. Four power units with modern Russian-designed VVER-1200 reactors are being built here simultaneously. The project is being implemented with the participation of the Rosatom State Corporation.
