The first full-cycle robot testing center opened in Moscow

Developers are testing autonomous utility, logistics, and monitoring systems

The Moscow Innovation Cluster has opened the first full-cycle Robot and UAS Testing Center in Russia on the grounds of the Skolkovo Innovation Center. Autonomous robotic systems for utility, logistics, transport, and construction needs are tested here. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about this.

Any developer can submit an application to conduct tests. Documents are reviewed under an accelerated procedure.

Having our own Testing Center will make it possible to shorten the path from a prototype to mass production. This is an important tool for stimulating the development of domestic technologies.
Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow

What systems are being tested at the Testing Center

The company YakuRobotiks is checking the operation of the Unit floor-washing machine. The automated system builds a map of the room, plots a route, and goes around obstacles. At the same time, the floor scrubber efficiently performs its functions.

Developers from Gumich RTK are testing the robot "Gorodovoi". The product patrols an area: it monitors the situation and can send an emergency signal to response services.

Another machine useful for utility workers is the tracked platform "Venom Sarancha". The electrically powered all-terrain vehicle mows grass and clears snow. Its tests took place in winter, when snowdrifts reached a height of 1 m.

For warehouses and industry, developers created the autonomous mobile robot "MOROS" ("Mobile Robotic Systems") and the ARM robot manipulator (GK "Prikladnaya robototekhnika"). The first can transport cargo weighing up to 1.5 tons, while the second packages products and performs precise operations with small parts. Both systems will be useful in the automotive industry and heavy industry.
