AvtoVAZ Separates Commercial Vehicles into a Separate Business - New Direction Named "Lada Business"

The umbrella brand will include Largus vans, an all-terrain vehicle based on the Niva, special vehicles from Promtekh, and methane versions of Largus and Vesta

AvtoVAZ will separate commercial vehicles into a separate business unit called "Lada Business," focused on the light commercial vehicle segment. The plant's press service announced this on March 17. The new direction will combine the full range of offers for corporate clients — both its own LADA line and partner products. In dealerships, a separate space with its own branding will be allocated under the "Lada Business" brand. The strategy also includes the introduction of new SKM models to the market, which will be included in the portfolio for business in the near future.

What will be included in "Lada Business": the full composition of the direction

Several product lines will be combined under the umbrella brand. Special versions from JSC VIS-AVTO — on-board platforms and vans based on Lada Granta and NIVA Legend, emergency rescue and fire vehicles based on LADA models, as well as an all-terrain vehicle on the Lada NIVA platform.

Certified partner Promtekh LLC will add more than 50 variants of special vehicles to the line: refrigerators, vans with a volume of up to 7 m³, transport for people with disabilities, mobile shops, and vehicles for medical services. A special place will be occupied by the Lada Largus van and methane versions of Largus and Vesta — the operation of the latter allows reducing fuel costs by 2–3 times compared to gasoline counterparts.

"We are forming a pool of professional dealers ready to provide entrepreneurs with not just a car, but a comprehensive solution for their business, supported by factory competencies," says Dmitry Kostromin, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at AvtoVAZ.

Composition of the "Lada Business" portfolio

  • Vans and on-board platforms based on Lada Granta and NIVA Legend — JSC VIS-AVTO
  • Emergency rescue and fire vehicles based on LADA
  • All-terrain vehicle on the Lada NIVA platform
  • Special vehicles "Promtekh": refrigerators, vans up to 7 m³, medical, social — more than 50 options
  • Lada Largus van
  • Methane versions of Largus and Vesta — reducing fuel costs by 2–3 times
  • New SKM models — in the near future

Separating commercial transport into a separate division is standard practice for mature automakers: corporate clients have fundamentally different requirements for reliability, service efficiency, and cost of ownership compared to private buyers.

Earlier www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ had applied for a new Lada Bisness trademark to Rospatent.
