Due to sanctions, a difficult situation has developed in Russia with the fleet of aircraft, but there is also positive momentum. According to his assessment, the aviation industry turned out to be the most affected industry, since Russia mainly operated only foreign types of aviation equipment. Korytny described the situation with the phrase "there is indeed a big headache with airplanes."

This is everything, starting from the engines, the most problematic part - this is the most, most difficult part - to certify and make normal engines.

Korytny recalled that up to 15% of the fleet is retired annually due to natural causes. Nevertheless, 52 new aircraft were registered in the country in 2025. In 2026, the aircraft fleet will be replenished with 48 helicopters and 6 aircraft.
