New MiG-41 interceptor will be larger than MiG-31, but will not see the light soon

"Technosphere Russia": work on the fighter is carried out on a residual basis

It is unknown exactly when the new long-range interceptor MiG-41 will see the light, but it will definitely surpass in mass its "older brother" - the Soviet MiG-31. This conclusion was reached by the publication "Technosphere Russia".

The authors of the article noted that the maximum speed of the new product will exceed 5000 km/h. The MiG-41 will be able to climb to a height of up to 35 km and operate at a radius of 3000 km. The armament will consist of missiles with a range of more than 400 km.

Of course, something much larger than the MiG-31 will turn out, which is supposed to be replaced by a promising interceptor. The "thirty first" already weighs at maximum parameters under 50 tons. As a result, PAK DP in theory turns into a late Soviet project with a mass of 62 tons.

At the same time, the publication stated that the MiG-41 has not yet been built, and it is not a fact that it will appear in the form of a prototype in the near future.

Military expert Sergei Marzhetsky suggested that the promising MiG will even be able to shoot down satellites in near-Earth orbit. But his forecasts are also skeptical - by all indications the project has turned into a long-term construction.
