The Belarusian plant "Horizont" has announced the start of mass production of a new laptop model. The premiere of the device coincided with International Women's Day and the Year of the Belarusian Woman in the republic. The engineers focused on minimalism: the weight of the new product does not exceed one kilogram, and the case is painted in a "cosmic orange" shade.
The press service of the enterprise explained that the unusual color and compact dimensions were chosen for a reason. According to the creators, the bright orange tone symbolizes activity and purposefulness.
The developers noted that they saw this product as a symbol of the modern Belarusian woman — bright and keeping up with technology. The ultra-thin profile and record-breaking low weight are designed to provide the mobility needed in an active rhythm of life.
In addition to the appearance, the plant reported serious changes in the production chain. The chief technologist of the enterprise said that the company has mastered the independent production of key components. Now motherboards and solid-state drives (SSDs) are manufactured domestically, which increases the degree of product localization.
At the same time, the specific characteristics of the hardware platform remained undisclosed. The manufacturer has not yet provided accurate data on the processor, the amount of RAM and the battery life.
