Russia's leading civilian weapons manufacturer increased revenue by a third

In 2025, the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (JSC \"IMZ\", part of the Kalashnikov concern) increased revenue by 30% compared with the same period in 2024. This was reported by the press service of the weapons concern.

Revenue growth in 2025:

  • pistols — up 73%
  • civilian small arms — up 38%
  • special-purpose equipment — up 26%

Managing Director of JSC \"IMZ\" Mikhail Melnikov stated that the enterprise also increased the output of products in demand under government contracts.

The MR-512, MR-53, and MR-61 air rifles, as well as the MR-654 pistol, were in high demand. Among shotguns, many sales were accounted for by the classic MR-27 shotgun and the Los hunting carbine.

Izhevsk Mechanical Plant was founded in the early 1940s. Anti-tank rifles, pistols, revolvers, and flare guns were produced here. Now, in addition to weapons, the enterprise manufactures 53205-3509015 and 53205-3509015-01 automotive compressors for KamAZ brake systems.
