The Max messenger is now available to residents of 40 countries — calls and messaging are open to users from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, the service's press service reported.

You can register with a SIM card from local operators: the list of supported countries includes Vietnam, Indonesia, UAE, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Cuba, Iraq, and Venezuela.

Registration is standard: download the application, select a country, enter your phone number and the code from the SMS. Correspondence with foreign users opens after a mutual exchange of numbers — this is a mandatory condition. Two-factor authentication, "Safe Mode" and "Family Protection" are available from the security settings, all in the "Security" section of the profile.

International expansion is phased: in November 2024, residents of seven CIS countries gained access to calls and messages — before that, the service only worked for users from Russia and Belarus. The current expansion increases the geography several times at once, covering regions with limited access to Western platforms.
