Drone delivery of official documents to be launched near Kaluga: UAV successfully carried papers across the Oka

The drone spent 10 minutes on the road - 50 minutes faster than ground transportation

Official documents have been delivered for the first time in Russia using a drone, reports Mash. As part of the experiment, a vertical take-off drone in the Kaluga region carried papers from the Ferzikovo district center to Kaluga, flying over the Oka River. The journey took only 10 minutes — 50 minutes faster than by land transport.

It is now planned to put the aerial delivery of original certificates and applications on stream. The official launch of drone delivery is scheduled for March 15. A week before departure, the authorities must submit a request, which will be approved by the operational headquarters and the State Corporation for the Organization of Air Traffic. The Ministry of Defense issues a permit one day after assessing the situation in the sky.

According to the developers, the drone is equipped with modern navigation and is able to operate even in electronic warfare conditions.
