"Atomflot" has completed the repair campaign ahead of schedule: the company's General Director, Yakov Antonov, reported that the resource was extended and nuclear fuel was reloaded on the icebreaker "Taimyr", the technical readiness of "Arktika", "Ural", and "Sibir" was restored, according to the publication "Strana Rosatom". The repair of almost all vessels was completed ahead of schedule, which allowed not only to ensure 240 planned days of icebreakers at sea, but also to create a reserve of 75 days for the entire fleet.
The head of Rosatom, Alexey Likhachev, proposed to enshrine this experience in the regulations and continue to reduce repair times.
The icebreaker needs to be at sea for 270 days.
In 2026, "Atomflot" plans to reload fuel on the icebreakers "Vaigach" and "50 Let Pobedy". Four docking programs and repairs of technological vessels are also planned.
