The "Kuryer" ground robotic system (NRTK) was equipped with the "Skoliya" rocket-propelled infantry flamethrower (RPO). The automated weapon can be controlled remotely.
The RPO uses munitions with a thermobaric charge. When it detonates, a combustible substance is dispersed in the form of an aerosol, followed by an explosion that creates a high-pressure zone. Such rounds are effective in strikes against concentrations of manpower, dugouts, and lightly armored vehicles.
The main feature of the "Skoliya" is said to be the ability to integrate with unmanned platforms. In this case, with the "Kuryer" NRTK.
Advantages of the advanced RPO:
- improved aiming and fire-control systems thanks to integration with the cameras and sensors of the ground robotic platform
- the presence of a mounting unit for operation as part of a combat module
- guidance using a camera with a ballistic computer
- the accuracy of hitting a target at ranges of up to 800 m is higher than when fired from the shoulder
