A subsidiary of the UAV manufacturer Transport budushchego will invest 900 million rubles by 2029 in creating serial production of electrical energy storage systems. Batteries under the "INESIS" brand will power not only unmanned aircraft, but also data processing centers, Vedomosti reports.
As the company CEO Aleksandr Kamashev said, assembly production using imported cells will be launched as early as mid-2026 — this will make it possible to refine the technologies. And from the beginning of 2027, the company plans to switch to import-substituted components.
By 2029, the enterprise will reach a capacity of 1 GWh per year. The company already has its own factory in Moscow (20 MWh per year), and another gigafactory is expected to open in Tolyatti in 2027.
