Engineers of the "Spectr" design bureau have started creating propellers for drones with improved acoustic noise characteristics. Equipping drones with new propellers will significantly reduce their visibility, said Executive Director Andrey Bratenkov.
According to him, silent propellers do not fight the air, they have an optimal blade profile and good aerodynamics. The use of such propellers will significantly reduce the visibility of UAVs in twilight conditions.
An apparatus that makes completely different noises will confuse the enemy - is the apparatus friend or foe, at what altitude, is it of the airplane type or not.
The computational cluster of the Collective Use Center of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia will also be involved in the development. Aerodynamic calculations will be carried out using the domestic Flow Vision software from Tesis.
