The Prosecutor of the Voronezh Region, Valery Voynov, paid a working visit to the Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company (PJSC "VASO"). The company's management, including the director, familiarized the high-ranking guest with key production areas and the assembly progress of the flagship long-range wide-body airliner Il-96-300.
During the inspection, special attention was paid to the current state of work on the plant's main civil product — the Il-96-300 aircraft. Voynov noted the strategic role of VASO for the economy of the Voronezh Region and the country as a whole. The company implements large production programs, actively develops competencies in the field of civil aviation, creates highly qualified jobs, and makes a significant contribution to strengthening the industrial potential of the region.
The prosecutor emphasized that his office monitors the targeted spending of budget funds in the execution of state defense orders and civil contracts, as well as compliance with social guarantees for employees. At the same time, the main task remains to achieve the ultimate result — the timely production of aircraft in accordance with approved schedules.
Il-96-300 is a wide-body long-range passenger airliner developed in the Soviet Union. The first flight took place on September 28, 1988.
