Did Russia supply KamAZ-53949 "Taifun-K" armored vehicles abroad?

The combat vehicles were spotted in service with the Ethiopian Army

Footage has appeared online showing Russian KamAZ-53949 "Taifun-K" armored vehicles in service with the Ethiopian National Defense Forces. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Voennyi osvedomitel".

The video captured at least two tractors carrying two armored vehicles each on trailers. At the moment, there has been no official information about the transfer of the combat vehicles to the African state.

It is worth noting that officially KamAZ-53949 "Taifun-K" has only been supplied to Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The media also reported interest from India, but there have been no official contracts so far.

Combat vehicles of the "Taifun" class are capable of fording water obstacles up to 1.50 m deep and climbing slopes with an angle of up to 30 degrees without prior preparation.

Automatic transmissions and diesel engines rated at 350 and 450 hp allow the "Taifun" vehicles to reach speeds of at least 100 km/h on highways and travel up to 1,000 km without refueling.
