The new Russian short-haul aircraft SJ-100 appears to be even better in terms of passenger comfort than some aircraft from the Boeing lineup. This opinion was expressed by foreign Internet users in comments under a video about the Russian aircraft on the popular YouTube channel NSH Aviation, which is dedicated to aviation.
Looks like there is more legroom here than in a Boeing. This always worries tall people.
Another channel subscriber pointed out the similarity of the Superjet to the Brazilian Embraer.
I have been in both the Embraer 175 and the SJ-100. It feels like the Superjet was based on the Embraer. They are very similar in the nose and inside the cabin.
Another subscriber with the nickname Sanchezz_BLR did not like the appearance of the hatch on the engine, probably from the temperature sensor.
It spoils the whole look, apparently, it is larger than it should be. They could have made it much more beautiful. But overall, it's a beautiful plane, the main thing is that it flies well. And I think they will work on the hatch on the power plant and make everything much more beautiful. Good luck to you, SJ-100.
In the economy class of the SJ-100, the seat pitch is usually about 79 cm — this is comparable to or slightly more than a number of Boeing 737 layouts, where the distance between rows can start from about 76 cm.
In practice, even a few extra centimeters of free space can significantly increase passenger comfort on long flights. However, the exact value depends on the configuration of the specific airline and the version of the aircraft.
Professionals were pleased with the Russian SJ-100. For example, Max Aero Engines Private Limited employee Suvendu Kumar Dash emphasized that the aircraft "looks great".
