"Yandex" will expand its taxi services starting in March 2026. The company will add a new brand, Fasten, targeting a young audience in major cities.
The taxi service will be the fifth in addition to "Yandex Go", Uber, and "Vezet". Fasten will have a separate pricing policy and unique positioning, as well as visual differences from "Yandex Go" and other company brands.
The service will exclusively offer taxi services. Research has shown that 10–15% of the audience is interested in an application that only offers the ability to book a ride.
Currently, "Yandex" offers the superapp "Yandex Go", which includes not only taxi booking but also food delivery via "Yandex Eda", groceries via "Yandex Lavka", scooter rentals, car-sharing services "Yandex Drive", and hotel booking. The Uber Russia application is also actively developing in Russia, and in mid-2024, a taxi booking service under the brand "Vezet" was launched, which is positioned as a low-cost carrier.
