The State Corporation Roscosmos has posted a vacancy for the position of astronaut on the popular recruiting portal SuperJob, inviting specialists with higher education and impeccable skills. As reported, applicants must meet strict criteria, including age up to 35 years, deep knowledge in the field of physics and mathematics, as well as operator skills.
The announcement emphasizes the need for competent oral and written speech, awareness of the history of world and domestic cosmonautics, as well as the absence of tattoos and excellent physical fitness.
Candidates cannot have foreign citizenship or a residence permit abroad, have an outstanding criminal record or restrictions on access to state secrets. Salary is discussed individually, and the selection includes a thorough medical examination.
Physical requirements include height from 150 to 190 cm, body weight from 50 kg and chest circumference in the range of 94–112 cm.
As a reminder, in early February 2026, the head of the Roscosmos State Corporation, Dmitry Bakanov, announced the start of an open competition for selection into the cosmonaut corps. The Cosmonaut Training Center will consider the applicants.
