In Russia, stricter control over the technical inspection of cars is planned to be introduced from September 1. The project is being prepared for consideration by the government, according to a TASS source.
All necessary comments have been taken into account, and the claims have been settled. Currently, a conclusion is being prepared based on the results of the analysis of the bill, which is necessary for further consideration in the Cabinet.
The innovations will allow the Ministry of Internal Affairs to disconnect unscrupulous operators from the Unified Automated Technical Inspection System without the consent of the Union of Insurers, which will speed up the fight against fraud related to fake diagnostic cards.
It is stipulated that vehicle inspection operators will be able to check cars through the FGIS "Taxi". This is necessary so that taxi cars, which are required to undergo technical inspection twice a year, do not evade this procedure.
The project proposes simplifying the procedure for some car owners, allowing them to provide the vehicle inspection operator with an extract from the electronic register of vehicles with extended information about the vehicle, and not just the STS or PTS.
