Two new Su-30SM2 fighters were spotted at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport the other day, making a flight from the Irkutsk Aviation Plant to Belarus. The Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (Center AST) has calculated how many aircraft of this series have been delivered to the republic in total.
Between 2019 and 2024, Belarus received eight aircraft. Two more fighters were transferred to the Air Force of the republic in May and August 2025. Together with the machines transferred the day before, their total number is 14 units.
The transfer of aircraft is taking place within the framework of military-technical cooperation between countries, noted the commander of the Belarusian Air Force, Major General Andrei Lukyanovich.
Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev stated that after equipping the turbojet AL-41F1S afterburning dual-circuit engines and N035 Irbis-E radar stations, the Su-30SM2 fighters will significantly increase their combat power.
