New jet pump for environmentally friendly waste management developed at TIU

The device will allow enterprises to use an alternative method of disposing of harmful substances

Specialists from the Tyumen Industrial University (TIU) have presented a new jet pump that makes the process of industrial waste disposal safer and more energy efficient. The device is designed to pump associated petroleum gas and carbon dioxide into underground formations.

The development is aimed at an environmentally friendly solution to waste disposal problems. The new pump has an efficiency of up to 40% and offers enterprises an alternative method of waste disposal that not only meets strict environmental standards, but also reduces the cost of cleaning them.

The technology used makes it possible to safely isolate harmful substances, in contrast to the use of traditional incineration methods that pollute the air. The device controls the supply of waste depending on the capabilities of the rock. Control is carried out remotely. The simple design ensures reliable operation even with toxic substances.

The development is already protected by a patent in the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) and has been successfully tested at the factory. In the future, the pump will be equipped with an automatic system and installed in a special building for operation in the Far North. The implementation of this project at northern enterprises in the Tyumen region will help reduce harmful emissions, avoid fines for environmental pollution and increase the efficiency of oil production from underground formations.
