The new Russian "Monochrome" strike drone is capable of flying at extremely low altitudes and can be used both alone and in groups with other means of destruction. Reserve Colonel Roman Nasonov spoke about the characteristics of the ammunition.
According to him, these capabilities allow the drone, codenamed S-71, to solve the most complex tactical tasks.
In fact, this is a missile that flies at an extremely low altitude of 70–20 meters above the ground and 15–5 meters above the surface of the water.
Nasonov clarified that "Monochrome" can operate autonomously from the Su-57 fighter and the S-70 "Okhotnik" strategic drone. There are already examples of working in pairs on the principle of "launched and forgotten."
