Novaport Holding plans to submit the project documentation for the airport in the popular Sheregesh ski resort in the Kemerovo region for state expert review by the end of March 2026. This was announced by Konstantin Furyaev, head of the company's Siberian cluster, at the TASS press center.
According to him, the project documentation is at a high stage of readiness, and all the comments of the designers were eliminated last year. After passing the examination in 2026, a positive conclusion is expected, which will allow moving on to the next stage of the project implementation.
The total cost of construction of the airport and related infrastructure is estimated at 35 billion rubles. Previously, the Kuzbass authorities noted that the completion of construction is scheduled for 2028, but the timing may be adjusted depending on the results of the examination and financing mechanisms, including a possible concession.
Furyaev stressed that the project is complex due to the peculiarities of the mountainous terrain and the simultaneous development of the airport and airfield. Builders will have to take into account the geological and climatic factors characteristic of Sheregesh, where the winter tourist season lasts almost six months.
