For the first time in the history of the Russian car market, the domestic crossover Tenet T4 has become the sales leader in the SUV segment. According to the analytical agency "Autostat", 1342 units of this model were sold in the country during the third week of 2026 — from January 12 to 18.
Experts from the agency, referring to information from JSC "PPK" (a joint venture between "Autostat" and the EPTS operator), noted that this result allowed the Tenet T4 to bypass all competitors and take first place in the SUV ranking. Previously, this segment was confidently led by Haval Jolion, but last week its sales amounted to 1,100 cars, which was not enough to maintain leadership.
The second position in the ranking was taken by the single-platform sibling — Tenet T7, which sold 1,120 copies. Thus, the Tenet brand immediately took the top two lines in the list of the most popular SUVs in the country.
Sales of the remaining SUV models for the reporting period did not exceed 800 units each, which emphasizes the growing dominance of the domestic brand against the background of weakening positions of popular foreign brands.
