The developers of the fiber-optic FPV drone "Knyaz Vandal Novgorodsky" have begun creating a new loitering munition capable of covering distances of more than 50 kilometers. According to the company's chief designer, the new product will be integrated into the existing "ecosystem" of unmanned systems and will be able to interact with "Knyaz Vandal," including performing the functions of a communications relay.
As the developers noted, the tactical use scenario of the new munition largely repeats the model proven in practice and implemented in the "Lancet" system, but adapted to the architecture of the company's own developments.
In addition, the company is working on several promising projects. In particular, specialists are developing a strike UAV with a jet powerplant capable of reaching speeds of more than 500 km/h. At the same time, modernization of the reconnaissance drone "Knyaz Veshchy Oleg," launched into serial production in 2026, is continuing.
According to the chief designer, the basic version of "Knyaz Veshchy Oleg" provides a flight time of more than two hours. At present, modified samples capable of remaining airborne for up to 3.5 hours have already been tested. In addition, engineers are working to improve the drone's capabilities for detecting enemy air defense systems and are implementing maneuvering algorithms to evade threats.
