Specialists of the Ulan-Ude Locomotive and Carriage Repair Plant (UULVRZ) have mastered the overhaul of Soviet DC electric freight locomotives of the VL15 series. This was reported in the press service of the enterprise.
The new type of repair was included in the production program in the summer of 2025. This required upgrading equipment, developing technical documentation, manufacturing special equipment, and training personnel.
As a result of acceptance tests, the interdepartmental commission officially admitted UULVRZ to carry out repairs of VL15.
Workers completely restore the resource of the traction rolling stock:
- replace electrical equipment and wiring
- repair units and assemblies
- update the cabin and body
- check control and diagnostic systems
Our plant is also repairing modern freight locomotives - Ermaks and Donchaks. Mastering the repair of VL15 allows us to optimally load production facilities.
The first two-section locomotives have already been repaired at UULVRZ. The management of the enterprise continues to expand the production plan.
