The volume of the Russian unmanned aviation market in 2026, according to expert estimates, will exceed 40 billion rubles. This was stated by Aleksandr Zamyatin, head of strategic project implementation at AO "GLONASS". According to him, the main contribution to the industry's growth will come from increased demand for services, and not only from equipment supplies.
At present, the ratio between sales of technical equipment and the provision of services is approximately 74% to 26%; however, the share of services is showing a steady upward trend. Zamyatin noted that the acceleration of the industry's development is linked to the implementation of the national project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)," launched two years ago. In his opinion, this period corresponds to the standard duration of research and development work, so as early as 2026 one can expect the mass emergence of R&D results, which will further stimulate the market.
The expert forecasts that over the next year the market volume will grow by an average of 20–30%. At the same time, substantial localization of key components of unmanned systems will take place — including communication lines, flight controllers, engines, speed controllers, and other avionics.
In addition to the technological component, Zamyatin drew attention to the transformation of the labor and customer market: the emergence of new professions in the field of unmanned technologies is expected, along with growth in the number of competent customers capable of effectively integrating UAS into production processes.
