Time capsule: perfectly preserved 1964 Volga for sale in the Vladimir region

A unique car is being sold for the price of a new Lada Granta

A rare example of the Soviet automobile industry has been put up for sale in the Vladimir region — a GAZ-21 Volga from 1964. The car, with a mileage of only 17 thousand kilometers, is in perfect condition and is estimated at 1.2 million rubles — about the same as a new Lada Granta costs today.

According to the owner, the Volga has been in the same family since it was purchased and regularly participated in retro exhibitions. The car was stored under a cover, thanks to which the native blue paintwork did not fade, and the body remained without traces of corrosion. The interior is made in the same color, fully corresponds to the original and looks like new.

Technically, this is a classic second-generation Volga with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 75 horsepower and a three-speed manual gearbox. The drive is rear. As a gift to the car, the seller offers a license plate with symbolic numbers "021".
