The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has proposed postponing the payment of the recycling fee for the largest domestic manufacturers of cars and trailers. This was reported in the press service of the department.
The Ministry plans to postpone the payment of the recycling fee for the fourth quarter of 2025 and for the first to third quarters of 2026 to December 2026.
Let us remind you that this support mechanism has been in place since 2016 and traditionally contributes to ensuring the stability of the financial activities of enterprises.
This measure will allow domestic manufacturers to free up working capital, which can be used to implement investment programs, advance purchases of components and timely accrual of salaries to employees.
The recycling fee is a special payment for the disposal of vehicles in accordance with technological and environmental standards. It is payable upon import of a car into the Russian Federation or the release of a locally produced car.
The new increased recycling fee rate came into force on December 1, 2025 and applies to cars with an engine capacity of up to 160 hp, and for electric vehicles - up to 80 hp.
