The Russian concern "KamAZ" has provided the KAMAZ-54901 truck tractor for the filming of the comedy series "Truck Driver" starring Anna Ukolova ("Freshmen") and Vladimir Yepifantsev ("Neuro Vasya"). This was reported by the press service of the auto giant.
According to the plot, truck driver Viktor (Yepifantsev) and his housewife wife Valya (Ukolova) switch places. As a result, the couple realizes that one should not underestimate each other's work. The series is directed by Georgy Danielyants ("Neuro Vasya", "Before Dawn" and "50 Shades of Marriage").
Filming began in Crimea with the support of the Tavrida art cluster and the Yug.Kino content studio. The release of "Truck Driver" is scheduled for 2026.
KamAZ provided a KAMAZ-54901 truck tractor coupled with a TZA-588510 semi-trailer.
The press service of the concern stated that the management of modern KamAZ equipment is available to both men and women. The KAMAZ-54901 model has a higher level of technology and comfort than the KAMAZ-54115, which was used in the filming of the series "Truckers" (2001).
The new tractor is equipped with a KAMAZ engine with a capacity of 482 hp with a 12-speed gearbox. The truck also received an advanced on-board system with a 15.6-inch touchscreen and cruise control.
