From August to November 2025, the EVRAZ ZSMK metallurgical plant supplied over 28,000 tons of rails for the high-speed railway "Moscow — St. Petersburg." This is almost a fifth of the total contract volume with JSC "RZD."
As part of the 2025–2027 program, the plant plans to produce 161,000 tons of DT350VS400 rails, fully providing the key railway tracks of the new high-speed line.
DT350VS400 rails were developed by EVRAZ in collaboration with RZD specifically for HSR projects. They are distinguished by high profile accuracy and straightness, as well as increased impact strength at a temperature of minus 60 degrees. This ensures the safety and reliability of train traffic at speeds up to 400 km/h.
The products are certified in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of high-speed railway transport."
Representatives of RZD assessed the production of the new batch of rails during a working meeting at EVRAZ ZSMK in Novokuznetsk. Alexey Golovatenko, the plant's operating director, emphasized that DT350VS400 rails are a unique product with no global analogues and remain the company's main product.
