Citizens should refrain from forwarding, publishing, or otherwise distributing materials in messengers that contain threats of explosions and hostage-taking. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk.
She noted that most of these messages are not related to real threats. Therefore, it is important to remain calm and not contribute to the spread of misinformation. If suspicious content is detected, it is recommended to immediately notify law enforcement agencies.
Volk also explained how to report a violation through the messenger itself. To do this, you need to open the channel, click on the "three dots" icon, select "report" and specify the category "violence or threats".
Forwarding such messages can cause panic and create a threat to public safety. For the average user, refusing to spread dubious information reduces the risk of involvement in illegal activities and helps law enforcement agencies respond quickly to real threats.
Citizens are advised to remain vigilant, verify sources, and use official channels to report violations in order not to contribute to the spread of fakes and threats.
