The small missile ship (MRK) "Amur" of Project 22800, formerly part of the Black Sea Fleet, has completed its redeployment to the Baltic Sea. The transit was carried out via Russia's inland waterways - a route that avoids passage through international straits and areas of high tension.
The ship, commissioned in 2024, had until recently been serving in the Caspian Sea. Its transfer to the Baltic may indicate a systematic strengthening of the Russian Navy's forces in the northwestern strategic direction.
The transfer of the "Amur" to the Baltic underscores the flexibility of modern small missile ships and their ability to quickly redeploy between theaters of operation, maintaining combat readiness even under logistical constraints.
