Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to address the issue of energy development in the Northern regions. He stated this during the "Year-End Review" program.

It is also planned to develop the capabilities of power grids and generation in Yakutia. According to Vladimir Putin, the coal component of the energy sector is developing well in the northwestern part of the Far East. The President also noted that it is worth considering other energy sources - gas and oil.
