Belarus, together with Russia, is developing new types of weapons. The countries are forming a unified defense-industrial space with full integration of supply chains, said Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee (SMIC) of Belarus.
According to him, the first results of this work will appear in the near future.
We are actively increasing the number of joint research and development projects, the goal of which is to create fundamentally new types of weapons.
The Chairman of the SMIC added that within the framework of the Union State, both countries are forming a unified defense-industrial space based on mutual exchange of technologies.
Pantus called the field of aviation one of the most significant areas of cooperation. In particular, it concerns the implementation of a project to create a twin-engine light multi-purpose aircraft "Osvey".
The Belarusian side is also considering the possibility of participating in the production of the light single-enginefifth-generation Su-75 fighter.
