The Russian company Sollers has revised its investment plans for the period from 2022 to 2028. The automaker is expected to invest more than 35 billion rubles, said CEO and co-owner Nikolai Sobolev.
Of this amount, about 19 billion rubles have already been invested. Next year, Sollers will invest about 5-6 billion rubles. The funds will be directed to projects related to increasing the localization of cars, as well as to the production of new models.
We are talking about establishing the production of an SUV and a minibus under the Sollers brand. Sobolev explained that about 70% of the investment comes from a loan from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF). The company will cover the remaining amount at its own expense.
Where are Sollers' facilities located?
The Sollers group includes four large enterprises: in Alabuga (production of Sollers Atlant and Argo), in Ulyanovsk (Patriot, Hunter and UAZ), Zavolzhye (engines and gearboxes, Sollers pickups) and in the Far East (ST6 pickup).
According to Sobolev, in 2025 the automaker plans to sell 40 thousand cars of various models. However, this is 20% less than last year.
