The Russian Kalashnikov Concern fulfilled its obligations to supply 30 mm GSh-301 aircraft automatic guns to the customer in 2025. The manufacturing enterprise has begun implementing the production plan for next year.
The GSh-301 aircraft gun, also called the "Ballerina", is equipped on MiG-29, MiG-29K/KUB, Su-27, Su-30, Su-35 fighters and Su-34 front-line bombers. The concern has increased the production of in-demand weapons in recent years.
Pilots note the lightness, rate of fire, accuracy and rate of fire of the GSh-301. Military experts believe that the Russian aircraft gun remains one of the best in its class.
The Gryazev-Shipunov single-barrel gun was developed at the Instrument Design Bureau in Tula. The weapon was put into service in the 1980s. Its production was established at the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (IMZ, part of the Kalashnikov Concern).
