In 2025, employees of almost a third (32%) of Russian car services encountered counterfeit spare parts and technical fluids. This is stated in a study by the Gruzdev Analyze agency and the Fit Service network.
The materials state that the consumer buys these products independently.
The most common fakes remain motor oils and lubricants. 48% of specialists reported this problem. Filters were in second place (32%), followed by suspension and steering parts (17%).
Experts believe that the increase in the volume of fakes on the market is due to the high technological accessibility of production and demand from buyers. However, the use of such components accelerates the wear and tear of the car, they add.
The problem of counterfeiting also affects the growth in the share of expensive repairs and the increase in average checks in car services.
According to Gruzdev Analyze and the Fit Service network, the share of repairs costing more than 20 thousand rubles has increased in Russia over the past 5 years. This year, there were about 16% of such visits to service stations.
