Sales of localized models of the Chinese brand GAC have started in Russia. Their assembly has been established at the former Hyundai plant in Sestroretsk, where Korean cars were previously produced. The first cars are already available to customers, sources of the "Chinese Automobiles" publication confirmed.
The GAC GS3 crossover in the basic GS configuration is priced at 2,226,000-2,299,000 rubles, excluding special offers. The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 170 hp and is focused on the segment of affordable urban crossovers.
The Russian-assembled GAC M8 minivan is presented in the GX Premium modification with a price of 5,643,000 rubles. The model received a 2-liter engine with 231 hp and retains a high level of equipment, typical for pre-maximum configurations.
Localization of production allows the GAC brand to reduce dependence on imports, adapt cars to Russian conditions and offer competitive prices in the market.
