The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia recommended that citizens abandon logging into banking applications using a fingerprint or facial recognition function. This is stated in the materials of the department.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that to protect personal data, you should use a complex screen lock password and install a reliable antivirus program. It is also not recommended to store bank card details on your smartphone - number, expiration date, CVV- or PIN-code.
In case of loss of the device, users are advised to immediately contact the bank office to block cards and not use other people's devices to log into online banking.
The agency recalled that you should not follow links from messages, even if they look like official notifications from the bank. To protect personal data, Russians are also advised to disable the display of the text of incoming messages on the locked phone screen.
