The AL-41F1S engine for the Su-35S "4++" generation fighters was originally intended for the Su-57, but it was slightly modified. This was stated by military expert Dmitry Drozdenko.
During the modification, the AL-41F1S reduced its power, and the installation control system became slightly less technologically advanced.
Nevertheless, we got an engine that is as close as possible to the fifth generation of fighters. And further from the Su-35, it was lowered to the level of the Su-30. That is, there is unification - one engine is made immediately for a whole line of aircraft, including for export.
According to him, the AL-41F1S received a plasma ignition system. The engine gives combat aircraft super-maneuverability, and the service life of the power plant has increased from 1,000 to 4,000 hours at once.
It is more economical - accordingly, the plane flies further. AL-41F1S has an oxygen-free start system, the engine can be started at a very high altitude. There is a plasma ignition system.
Note that it is important not to confuse the AL-41F1S with the AL-41F1 - the "first stage" engine for the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter. The second installation became part of the fifth-generation fighter program and has somewhat different characteristics.
