According to her, the Arkhangelsk region could become a center for the development of marine drones. However, for a serious breakthrough in this area, support from the state is needed, the deputy head of the department emphasized.

Projects with BECs in the Arkhangelsk region

In 2026, regular flights of two BECs will be launched on the Arkhangelsk – Solovki – Arkhangelsk route. The region may also organize interregional delivery of goods from one of the popular marketplaces from Arkhangelsk to Umba (White Sea coast).

Another promising area is unmanned logistics. Now Arkhangelsk engineers are working on creating a new marine drone "Clipper" for transporting goods in containers. The regional authorities are considering measures to support this industry.
