Redistributes Load and Increases Survivability: "Kalashnikov" Modernized Equipment for Security Forces

The system withstands 7.62×54 mm bullets and integrates with communications and hearing protection equipment

Triada-TKO LLC (part of the Kalashnikov concern) demonstrated a new generation of the MRS-VV modular unloading system and sets of uniforms within the VKPO 3.1 at a specialized exhibition at the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The exposition is focused on the needs of modern law enforcement agencies and emphasizes the evolution of Russian individual protection and tactical equipment.

The central element of the exhibition was the MRS-VV system, presented in two versions: field color "Moss" and operational - "Olive". The latter is adapted for concealed carrying of body armor and allows operatives to maintain mobility in urban conditions.

The system includes reinforced Br5 class armor panels capable of withstanding hits from bullets with a heat-strengthened core from a 7.62×54 mm rifle cartridge at a distance of 5 meters. The anti-fragmentation protection corresponds to class C2 with an indicator of V50 ≥ 630 m/s, and protection against 9×19 mm cartridges with a lead core is also provided.

Among the key structural improvements:

  • a lowered neck protection module for compatibility with hearing protection devices,
  • an increased number of MOLLE slots on the sides of the belt,
  • an updated front panel with 8 slots and a solid mounting system,
  • a metal "Zubr" buckle instead of a plastic one,
  • an improved weight distribution system that transfers the load from the shoulders to the hips.

VKPO 3.1 clothing sets in "Moss" color are presented in parallel:

  • a summer suit with non-combustible knitwear in the torso of the shirt and built-in joint protection,
  • a demi-season suit made of elastic softshell with wind and moisture protection properties,
  • an insulated suit with hydrophobic synthetic insulation and membrane fabric, equipped with removable suspenders and side zippers for quick donning over shoes.

Kalashnikov's developments confirm the course of the domestic defense industry towards creating ergonomic, multifunctional and all-weather equipment that meets the requirements of modern special operations.
