Russian Orlan series reconnaissance UAVs have received a new domestic engine. This was announced by an official representative of the "Special Technological Center" (STC).
According to him, specialists are constantly working to modernize Orlans and special software.
For example, we created an engine of our own production. Work is underway to improve the quality of the target equipment.
The multifunctional complex with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Orlan-10E and the complex with unmanned aerial vehicle Orlan-30 were demonstrated at the Dubai Airshow in Dubai.
Orlan technical maintenance takes no more than 30 minutes — from landing to new launch. The UAVs run on regular 95-octane gasoline, and outwardly resemble a car. They are completely invulnerable to electronic warfare.
