A unique medical bed for women in labor has been developed in Novosibirsk. It is equipped with a specialized digital system for monitoring the woman's condition. The invention of Russian engineers promises to improve the conditions of childbirth.
According to Igor Mendzebrovsky, Development Director of "Papillon" company, the bed is equipped with so-called digital assistants. They monitor indicators such as pulse, breathing rate and the volume of inhaled air. The data is transmitted to medical personnel in real time. Doctors can remotely monitor the woman in labor, which increases the safety of the birth process. The new generation bed was developed with the participation of a team of experienced obstetricians and gynecologists.
We approach the issue from the point of view of the woman's comfort, speed and painlessness of childbirth.
The development is being carried out in cooperation with Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU). The first prototypes are planned to be presented in the second half of 2026. Registration of the new product will be completed in the first half of 2027, after which the beds will be supplied to various medical institutions.
