The company «Uraldroneplant» has launched serial production of heavy unmanned aerial vehicles «Berdysh». This was announced by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District, Artem Zhoga.
According to Zhoga, some of the inventions of the Ural residents have already been contracted by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and the products successfully perform combat missions.
They are constantly improving the characteristics of their products: flight range, battery capacity, payload, and so on.
The base of the «Berdysh» drone is a four-engine multirotor power plant in combination with high-ampere lithium-polymer (LiPO) batteries of large capacity. It provides the drone with a maximum range of 15 km with a payload of 20 kg.
«Berdysh» can conduct television and infrared reconnaissance around the clock. Thanks to the 500-mm matrix IR sensor, it is capable of detecting a heat-contrast target such as a «car» at a distance of 6.3 km, a tank or an infantry fighting vehicle at a distance of up to 10 km.
