В России вводят детские сим-карты с возможностью геотрекинга

Parents will be able to track the location of children under 14 without submitting applications

The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia plans to introduce separate SIM cards for children under 14, according to the head of the department, Maksut Shadayev.

The new initiative will allow parents to receive information about the child's location without submitting official applications.

Parents will be able to receive geotracks of their children without submitting an official application, he explained.

The idea of children's SIM cards was proposed by the Ministry of Digital Development back in August 2025. Special numbers will restrict access to certain services. In particular, users will not be able to log into social networks and use some Internet platforms, which is designed to improve the safety of children online.
