State Duma Deputy Tatyana Butskaya has proposed the idea of creating children's SIM cards with restrictions. These SIM cards could include free access to educational programs and block the ability to download "adult" games to the phone.
According to the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, this approach will help protect children from inappropriate content and facilitate access to educational resources.
The SIM cards will be equipped with a function that will not allow downloading "adult" games and content, and will also provide free access to educational programs, which will reduce the financial burden on families. While such SIM cards have not yet been introduced, control over children's Internet hygiene rests with parents.
In addition, the State Duma has a bill with recommendations for parents on choosing toys for children, including psychological and pedagogical expertise, as well as the release of a corresponding GOST for such expertise.
